CJC-1295 with DAC is a synthetic analog of the biologically active 1–29 region of human growth-hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). It incorporates amino-acid substitutions intended to improve resistance to enzymatic degradation and a Drug Affinity Complex (DAC) moiety designed to bind circulating albumin, extending systemic exposure.
Preclinical studies evaluated receptor activity and albumin conjugation, while early human studies examined pharmacokinetics, tolerability, and biomarker responses. Published clinical research reported prolonged increases in growth hormone and insulin-like growth factor 1 after administration to healthy adults. These biomarker findings do not establish clinical benefit, safety for unsupervised use, or an approved indication.
CJC-1295 with DAC must be distinguished from products marketed as “CJC-1295 without DAC,” which are generally modified GRF(1-29) and have materially different pharmacokinetic properties. No FDA-approved therapeutic indication has been established for CJC-1295 with DAC.
